The Princess Diana Playground in London
Avast me hearties! Your little landlubbers can be pirates for the day on Captain Hook's huge wooden pirate ship at the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Playground.
Everyone loves this imaginative play area. Nestled between the trees in Kensington Gardens, it's inspired by J M Barrie's novel, Peter Pan.

Somerford Grove Adventure Playground
The Somerford Grove Adventure Playground in Haringey is just what kids want. How do we know? They designed it!
Hanging out on the climbing nets and swinging about on the swings is so exciting. There's an eco-friendly theme to this playground as well as a nature area with a pond, stream and fruit trees. Young adventurers will also be thrilled by the chance to build a den.
There's an indoor play area too so you're safe if it rains.
Coram's Fields
Coram's Fields is a seven-acre site devoted to children's play in the heart of London. Who knew you could have so much fun in the great outdoors so close to the British Museum and King's Cross Station? Coram's Fields includes a sand pit, a paddling pool, a flying fox and other slides, a pets corner (with sheep, goats, ducks, hens and much more) and a sensory play area. Adults can only enter if accompanied by a child!
Accessible Playgrounds in London
Some adventure playgrounds are designed to welcome children with disabilities and those who may need to be supervised. These playgrounds ensure that every child can have a fantastic outdoor adventure.
The Log Cabin in Ealing is for children aged 4-15 with special needs or disabilities. Sessions can be booked in advance.
Go on an adventurous treasure hunt at north east London's ELHAP for kids and adults with disabilities. ELHAP runs holiday play schemes, a Saturday club and group visits. Contact the centre for more information about attending.
