DD is 6. I'm thinking of taking her to see the Nutcracker, is that a good idea? Is 6 too yang for ballet?

Why not? Nutcracker is a great ballet and kids love it. My niece was 4 when we first took her to see it, she absolutely loved it. My DD is 1,5 so I think it's a little bit too early but I'll definitely take her when she's 4.

I think a 6-year old will get bored:)) My son could barely sit through a movie in the cinema when we went to see Shrek 
I can't imagine that a kid could keep up with all the dancing and the music on the scene. She will either fall asleep or will be very very bored)
