Dickens World offers a totally different day out.

You can get splashed on the Great Expectations dark boat ride (so long as you're over 1m tall), learn some of the ghost stories in "The Haunted Man", even play snakes and ladders in our Victorian School room - just watch out for the headmaster!

Peggottys boathouse is a 4D cinema where you can discover which countries Charles Dickens travelled to to tell his stories, and the Britannia Theatre introduces you to some of his characters. If you're under 1.45m tall, you can play in Fagin's Den - a soft play area especially for our younger visitors.

Dickens World is sign posted from junctions 1, 3 & 4 of the M2- just follow the brown anchor tourist signs, we are located next to the Historic Dockyard. Accessible from Chatham & Rochester train stations from Chatham, take the Dockside shuttle bus to us here.

You should allow in the region of 3 hours to fully experience everything at Dickens World - but remember, the weather doesnt matter as its all inside.

Londonparents do strongly suggest you ring Dickens World before you set off on your family day out, just to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices, there is nothing worse than disappointed kids in the back of your car after a long journey.
